Seahawks Rocked the House!!

Between Mike and my boys and My brother and his boys, our house is ruled by boys most of the time. So when the Seahawks kicked butt this year, we had to have a party. Our city is Seahawks crazy right now. 12th man flags everywhere. People in jerseys and blue and green everywhere. We have been rooting for our team all season and we all knew this was our year to win the Super bowl.

I have had so much fun preparing and decorating for this day. Everyone has been anxiously waiting for this day. So when the Seahawks won, of course we would take our kids out of school for a once in a life time super bowl parade in down town Seattle. McKenzie went to the parade with her friend Adams's family. Lexie stayed home sick and watched it on T.V. in a warm house. Mike, the boys  and I decided to venture down town for the parade. We left around 8 am and got to Seattle just in time for the parade around 10:30. The parade was supposed to start at 11 am, but because it was so crowded and hectic it started an hour later than planned.  It was crazy busy and packed with people but it was so exciting! They say around 750,000 attended the parade. At one point in the parade the people had pushed so close to the vehicles, that they could barely drive through the crowd. We were closer to the space needle than to Century Link field, so it was less crowded where we were. As soon as the parade passed us we booked to a pizza place for lunch. It was so cold but the skies were blue and clear. What an awesome adventure that I hope our boys will remember forever.
Go Hawks!!!

Mikes new hot dog maker was up and running. We got some good use out of it this year.

I even got a jersey this year for my birthday. Richard Sherman #25

School is cool but the Seahawks Rule!!!!
                                                  Seahawks Super bowl parade 2014

Max made this awesome flag at school.

I was standing on a planter to get above the crowd to see. Every few minutes a security guard would come around and tell all of us to get off the planter. Everyone was nice and happy to be there.

Marshawn Lynch was throwing skittles into the crowd. He was standing on the hood of the Seattle Ducks truck.

We watched the rest of the parade from the TV in the pizza place with other fans. We got out of the city and home before the parade even made it to Century Link field. I think it took a lot longer than planned to get through the crowd. The people at Century Link had to wait forever. I'm glad we were closer to the beginning of the parade.

We are so proud of our city and we love the Seahawks. Go Hawks!!
Now let's bring back the Seattle Sonics!
